This album is dedicated to my cherished parents, Ray and Dorothy Oberschulte. My earliest memories of life were of my father walking me around the room on his shoulder trying to put me to sleep with "The Tea for Two Cha Cha" and "I've got My Love to Keep Me Warm". Music was always in our home. Dad played saxophone in his orchestra, (Ray Oberschulte and the Commodores) and let me be part of his jam sessions with the musicians as I was growing up. He's in heaven today but I felt his closeness as I recorded this album. My exceptional mother was so adored by my Dad. She sang with the band on week-ends. I was so young at that time but remember watching them as I sat on a chair at one of the dinner tables. My feet didn't even reach the floor. My mother was born with such "joie de vivre" and even today continues to be one of my very best girlfriends. She has a simple, child like faith and I love to pray with her -- Dorothy Oberschulte!
